Welcome. We are the United Chinese Association of Brooklyn, commonly known as UCA. UCA is a non-profit organization formed to serve the needs of the Chinese-American population in the Bensonhurst area of Brooklyn, New York City. We aim to build a safe, friendly, and nurturing neighborhood for our children, adults, and seniors. We offer a variety of educational programs and social activities, and we bring our residents together to protect our neighborhood and defend our rights. Lunar New Year is the biggest Chinese holiday and a perfect time
to greet the Chinese community. UCA, State Assemblyman William Colton, Lafayette
High School teachers and students, Ng Wai Hong Lion Dance Team, and the
Civil Service Aide joined together on March 11, 2006 to liven up the Bensonhurst neighborhood
with the traditional Lion Dance Parade...
UCA Formed Lion Dance Team with Lafayette High School Students to Promote Unity, Teamwork, and Community Involvement March 29, 2005
UCA and Lafayette High School students joined together to form a Lion
Dance Team. The ceremony was held at UCA's office on February 2, 2006.
State Assemblyman William Colton performed the tradition of
"lighting up the Lion's eyes" for the team. The Lion Dance Team will be a
great medium for the students to learn teamwork and get more involved in
the community...
